What happened

Two earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 were recorded seconds apart in the state of Yaracuy. The coastal state of La Guaira has been the worst affected, with more than a hundred buildings collapsed, and serious damage is reported in Miranda, Aragua, Carabobo and Falcón. Authorities have declared a state of emergency.

What we are doing

Mis Anawim Mundi has already distributed aid in Venezuela —2 tonnes of medicines and medical products in 2024— and we have supplies and contacts on the ground. Now we need to strengthen logistics to send what we already have and scale up the response.
